Karan Johar: I will only direct films in the language that I know

Filmmaker Karan Johar when asked if he will ever direct a film in a southern language says, “I will only direct films in the language that I know because I believe that I will be able to justify the material better. “
However he adds, “Collaborating with the vision of filmmakers from the south is something I hope I will always be able to do. I hope I will get the opportunity to be part of films which are the best of the lot from the south.I am a huge fan of Shankar’s work and I hope that he brings all his films to me.” Karan Johar is backing Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 and earlier was associated with the Baahubali series which were directed by Telugu filmmaker SS Rajamouli. While the Baahubali films turned out to be pan-India blockbusters, the verdict on S Shankar’s 2.0 will be out on Friday.
